Who We Are

CypherVault is a secure, non-custodial web wallet developed to provide a straightforward and powerful tool for managing cryptocurrencies. Our core belief is that everyone deserves absolute sovereignty over their own assets, free from the interference of third-party custodians.

The project is initiated and supported by Nebrah Collective, a French-based alliance of developers, artists, and thinkers dedicated to creating technology that serves individual freedom. We combine technical expertise with a strong philosophical commitment to privacy and autonomy.

Our name, Nebrah Collective, is chosen with intention, drawing from a pivotal and debated moment in ancient Egyptian history. It is inspired by the Second Dynasty king, Nebrê, whose name marks a profound shift in religious and royal ideology.

The name Nebrê is controversial among Egyptologists. It is one of the very first to be written with the hieroglyph for the sun, Rê. However, during his reign, the sun was not yet worshipped as an independent deity. Religious focus was on maintaining the divine balance between the state protectors, Horus and Seth, and the king himself was the living embodiment of this duality. The sun was seen merely as a celestial body, an object to be controlled by these greater forces.

A simple translation of the name, Raneb ("Ra is my lord"), is therefore misleading, as it presumes a fully formed solar cult that did not yet exist. Modern Egyptology proposes a more accurate and powerful interpretation: Nebrê, meaning "Lord of the Sun (of Horus)". This translation does not imply submission to a god, but rather the pharaoh's dominion over the sun itself.

It is now thought that King Nebrê may have been the first to establish a more profound religious philosophy centered on the sun and the sky, predating the official solar cults by generations. This is the spirit we embody. The Nebrah Collective is not about following established dogma, but about pioneering new thought and asserting creative control over the fundamental elements of our world. Our work is a quest to understand and shape the principles that govern our reality.
